In 1974, the sole proprietorship R. Selbach went into production. The manufacture of cooling coils began. Everything was still on a very small scale. At that time, the production site was the factory garage in Lindenstraße in Radevormwald. In 1979, Friedhelm Selbach took over the company and bought the property in Heisenbergstraße. The first production hall was built. In 1981, the company moved to Heisenbergstraße.

Friedhelm Selbach GmbH was founded in 1984. In addition to the manufacture of cooling coils, the focus was now on the production of cooling and dispensing systems. The high-quality products were in demand and so the production area was expanded to a total of 1,200 square meters between 1983 and 1988. This was followed by the construction of the office wing and the warehouse. In 1992, more employees needed space and so the office wing was built on the 2nd floor. The currywurst slicer invented by Friedhelm Selbach in 1963 was also a bestseller. Up to 1,000 units of the famous currywurst slicer were sold each year.

In 1996, the expansion of the production halls and administrative offices by a further 3,000 square meters began. Our high-bay warehouse with 1,700 square meters was put into operation. Torsten Selbach, who had been actively supporting his father for several years, took over the management of the company in 2000.

When Torsten Selbach took over the management of the company, export sales were gradually expanded. Investments - such as our fully automatic bending station in 2013 - and further development of our products are a matter of course. The entire Selbach team is committed to developing and producing a high-quality product tailored to the customer's needs.
