To mark the end of the special exhibition "Radevormwald Industrial History" at the local history museum, a special event took place on 30 May 2026: a curry sausage tasting – naturally featuring our curry sausage slicer "made in Radevormwald". After all, the legendary curry sausage slicing machine is a genuine piece of Rade's industrial history: Friedhelm Selbach invented it in 1963, and a prototype was on display at the museum throughout the exhibition. Bettina Selbach brought along a machine of the latest generation for the closing event, along with her famous homemade curry sauce, of course. Bernd Müller ensured perfectly prepared sausages with his smoker grill. Mayor Dejan Vujinovic was also on site and didn't want to miss the event. For Michael Scholz of the local heritage and traffic association (HVV), it was a fitting conclusion to an informative exhibition on Rade's industrial history.
